主人公無意中看到了這個黑色主頁，並體驗到了世間罕有的恐怖。在這個被稱為「境界」的世界裡，任何人都能夠被吸進來，這裡還有普通的家庭、學校和醫院等等場所。一切似乎是根據被吸進來的人們的記憶而衍生出的。
玩家將要在這些場所解開各種謎題，以安全生還為目標。隨著與境界中的居民，也就是幽靈的接觸，便會被境界同化，最終死去。無論怎樣，能來到這裡的人，剩下的時間都不多了。遊戲中的手機是一個重要道具，除了能夠傳達謎之聲音和打電話之外，還能用手機來錄音，聽到該場所殘留的「思念」。
此外還能夠按下快門來拍照，並發彩信。甚至在正常狀態下無法到達的場所，通過對手機的短信也可以實現「瞬間轉移」。
