Hotel for Dogs is gebaseerd op de gelijknamige kinderfilm. In Hotel for Dogs draait alles om de 16-jarige Andi en haar jongere broertje Bruce. Ze mogen geen huisdieren houden, maar kunnen de arme hond Friday niet aan haar lot overlaten. Ze gaan op zoek naar een woonplaats voor de hond, en vinden een oud afgelegen hotel. Deze bouwen ze om tot een waar hondenparadijs.
In Hotel for Dogs moet je er voor zorgen dat de honden niets in het hotel te kort komen. Door verschillende opdrachten te voltooien, wordt de leefomgeving van de honden steeds beter. Met behulp van verborgen voorwerpen kun je leuke nieuwe zaken aan het hotel toevoegen. Je ontdekt spannende nieuwe levels en mini-games, terwijl je allerlei bekende personages en dieren uit de film tegenkomt.
