L’isola in cui si svolge il tutto è come un grande resort (suddiviso a sua volta in quattro resort più piccoli) pieno di attività sia estive, che invernali. Il giocatore può esplorare l’isola in autonomia, oppure partecipare solamente alle varie attività. I quattro resort in cui si articola l’isola sono: Marino, Montano, Innevato e Cittadino. Scegli il tipo di attività a cui vuoi partecipare e poi dai il meglio di te! Surf, beach volley e immersioni nel Resort Marino oppure kayak, equitazione, rafting e tiro al piattello nel Resort Montano. I fan delle discese innevate possono partecipare alle lotte con le palle di neve, fare pupazzi di neve, gare con la motoslitta e cimentarsi nel salto con gli sci nel Resort Innevato. Gli spiriti più urbani possono scegliere il lancio delle torte, il deltaplano, il minigolf e l'hockey da tavolo nel Resort Cittadino. È impossibile elencare tutte le 50 attività di Go Vacation! Durante le attività puoi giocare contro il computer o sfidare fino a tre amici, nella modalità con schermo suddiviso per quattro giocatori. Go Vacation è compatibile con molte periferiche Wii come Wii Wheel, telecomando Wii Plus/Wii Motion Plus e Wii Balance Board, che possono essere usate in 17 giochi. Usa la Wii Balance Board per cavalcare le onde nel gioco del surf o discendi in picchiata il fianco innevato di una montagna. Indipendentemente dal sistema di controllo che scegli di usare, riuscirai a giocare contro gli amici e i familiari in tanti modi divertenti! 50 diversi sport tra cui scegliere, divisi in quattro differenti resort! Du kan frit udforske hele den store Kawawii Island og tjekke alle øens attraktioner. På din rejse er der fire forskellige feriesteder på øen, der hver tilbyder deres helt egne aktiviteter, som du kan udforske. For at starte skal du først gå til receptionen og derefter rejse til det udvalgte feriested med de specielle køretøjer, der hører til hvert sted.
Under aktiviteterne kan du enten spille mod computeren eller deltage i lidt venskabelig konkurrence med op til tre af dine venner. Nyd at udforske hele øen, alle fire feriesteder og alle spillene sammen i split-screen-funktionen for fire spillere.
